Privileges Required to use Connections
To use Connections, you need one of the following:
scheduler-administrator
orredwood-administrator
rolescheduler-user
orredwood-login
role in combination with the following system-wide, partition-wide or object-level privileges.
Built-in Roles
- The
scheduler-administrator
orredwood-administrator
built-in role provides full control over connections. - The
scheduler-viewer
built-in role provides read-only access to connections.
Creating, Modifying, and Deleting Connections
You need all of the following privilege ranks to be able to create connections:
- View or any other rank - on the Redwood_Connections extension point.
- Either:
- Create - on queue, system-wide or in the partition of the component, to create a queue for the component.
- View or any other rank - on the queue used by the component.
- Either:
- Create - on process server, system-wide or in the partition of the component, to create a process server for the component.
- View - on the process server used by the component.
- Edit - on EXTConnection.
- Edit - on EXTObjectRefs.
- View - on object definition.

Depending on the connection type, you need View on process server services shipped with the component.
Using Connections
- View or any other rank - on the Redwood_Connections extension point.

- View - on object definition.
- JobAdministrator - on the queue used by the component.
- View - on the process server used by the component.
- View - on any objects referenced by the process server or process definition.
