Privileges Required to use the Catalog
To use Catalog, you need one of the following:
scheduler-administrator
orredwood-administrator
role.scheduler-user
orredwood-login
role in combination with the following system-wide, partition-wide or object-level privileges.
Built-in Roles
- The
scheduler-administrator
orredwood-administrator
built-in role provides full control over the Catalog. - The
scheduler-viewer
built-in role provides read-only access to Catalog.
Installing Components
You need all of the following privilege ranks to be able to install components:
- View - on the Redwood_Catalog extension point.
- All - full control over all imports on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
- Submit - on the System_Import_Archive process definition.
- Process Administrator (
JobAdministrator
) - on the System queue. - View - on the GLOBAL partition as well as on the System process server.
- View - on the Cronacle Archive (CAR) format.
note
For each component you wish to install, you must have sufficient privileges to create/edit the objects therein! This requires the catalog user to have at least Edit privileges on the objects and View privileges on all existing objects the objects are referring to. The catalog user is the user using the catalog to install a component, by default; this is overridden by the value of the /configuration/import/RunAsUser
registry entry, if set.
