Importing Variant Definitions
You import variant definitions to be able to edit variants from within Redwood Server.
The following process definition allows you to import variant definitions:
Parameters
- SAP System - The SAP system you want to import the variant definition from
- SAP Client - The SAP client to use to retrieve the variant definition
- ABAP Program - The ABAP program the variant belongs to
- ABAP Variant - The variant name or pattern
- Max. Count - the maximum amount of variant definitions to retrieve
- Drop old selection? - Allows you to delete previously imported variant definitions
Prerequisites
- The ABAP program the variant belongs to must have already been imported.
- The Variant must have been imported.
- Variant parameters must have default values in SAP.
Procedure
Importing variant definitions
- Navigate to "Definitions > Processes".
- Choose Submit from the context-menu of the process definition SAP_ImportVariantDefinition.
- Select a target SAP system, an SAP Client, select an ABAP program in the ABAP Program field and a variant in the ABAP Variant field.
- Choose Submit.
Example
- Navigate to "Definitions > Processes".
- Choose Submit from the context-menu of the process definition SAP_ImportVariantDefinition.
- Select the SAP System
