Privileges Required to use Queues

To use Queues, you need one of the following:

• scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
• system or partition-level permissions
• object-specific privileges

Using Queues

The following privilege ranks are available on Queues:

• Create - allows you to create a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Queues you create.
• View - allows you to view a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
• View Processes - allows you to view processes of a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
• Queue Administrator - allows you control (hold, release) a Queue, and view processes in the Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
• Process Administrator - allows you to view, submit and edit processes in the Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
• Submit and View - allows you to submit and view processes in a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
• Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
• Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
• All - full control over a Queue on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the Queue.

Queues can reference the following objects, you need at least View privileges on these objects as well as their partition(s) when you want to create/edit/delete a Queue that references them:

• Application.
• Process Server.
• Time Window.

Built-in Roles

• The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Queues.
• The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Queues.

Creating Queues

You need one of the following privilege ranks to be able to create Queues:

• Create - allows you to create Queues on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Queues you create.
• Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit all Queues on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
• Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete all Queues on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
• All - full control over all Queues on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

Editing Queues

To successfully edit a Queue, you must have one the following privileges:

• Edit - privilege rank on the Queue, or on Queue in its partition or system-wide
• Delete - privilege rank on the Queue, or on Queue in its partition or system-wide
• All - privilege rank on the Queue, or on Queue in its partition or system-wide
