Preparations
Prerequisites
- You have installed Redwood Finance Automation on Redwood Platform
- SAP JCo library must have been installed
- You have the credentials for an SAP user that has authorizations to install SAP transports, create and maintain users and RFC connections
Redwood Finance Automation solution
Licensing
For the usage of Redwood Finance Automation a license for the Solution Redwood Finance Automation by Redwood is required.
Obtaining software and documentation
For Redwood Finance Automation there is a download area in the Redwood Support Portal. Navigate to
Download->Download Software->Download Solutions
Select the Redwood Finance Automation version fitting to your scenario and download the needed software:
fca_modules.car: Redwood Finance Automation version for the Redwood Finance Automation scenario to be implemented
Download the SAP transport file which can be found under SAP Transport files for Redwood Finance Automation in the download area.
Best practice
It is recommended to run the Redwood Finance Automation system separately on a dedicated server or virtual machine, even if there is an existing installation of RunMyJobs. This ensures smooth execution of closing tasks without interference by other processes, not related to closing tasks.
Backend ECC systems
The SAP backend system(s) need to be prepared for supporting the various automation features of Redwood Finance Automation.
Important and required SAP notes
Backend Systems can be used starting with SAP ECC 6.0 (Basis 700SP6 or higher). Earlier releases can also be supported but this might mean that not all functionality is available.
