Assigning SAP Authorizations to the RFC User
The RFC user requires privileges on the satellite systems to schedule processes. These privileges are listed in the SAP Authorizations section in the Appendix of the following guide.
Procedure
- Navigate to Tools > Administration > User Maintenance > Role Administration > Roles (transaction PFCG).
- Create a new role REDWOOD and save the role.
- Choose the Authorizations tab.
- Choose Change Authorization Data. If the system shows a list of templates, choose Do not select templates.
- You should now be in Change role: Authorizations.
- Expand the main component to which the authorization belongs and locate the authorization.
- Once you have located the authorization, choose the minus [-] to add it to your selection.
- Choose insert chosen once you are done selecting authorizations.
- Assign values to the properties of the authorization; you can save the role when the traffic lights are all green.
- Choose Save.
Example
- Navigate to Tools > Administration > User Maintenance > Role Administration > Roles (transaction PFCG).
- Create a new role EXAMPLE and save the role.
- Choose the Authorizations tab.
- Choose Change Authorization Data. If the system shows a list of templates, choose Do not select templates.
- You should now be in Change role: Authorizations.
- Expand the _ AAAB - Cross-application Authorization Objects_ and locate S_RFC - Authorization check for RFC access.
- Choose the minus [-] to add it to your selection.
- Choose insert chosen.
- Assign values to the properties of the authorization:
- Set Activity to *, you can choose the * to do this.
- Set Name of RFC to be protected to *.
- Set Type of RFC object to be protected to Function group.
- Choose Save.
