The following tables illustrate the options available on the tabs of the process server editor.
Process Server Tab

Parameters Tab
For an extensive list of parameters, refer to the process server parameters section.
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Name | The process server parameter name. |
Default Value | The default value of the process server parameter; for reference only. |
Value | The process server parameter value. |
In the lower detail pane of a process server, parameters can have different values for every type.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Current | The current value that is being used by the running process server. |
Desired | The value that is used the next time that the process server is started. |
LastWorking | The previous value that was used by the process server. |
Services Tab
- Service - The service that the process server supports.
- Desired Status - The status of the service: Running, ShutdownNormal, ShutdownImmediate, or ShutdownAbort.
note
When you create or edit a process server, the required services are added automatically to the process server based on the definition types or the SAP interfaces you configured, so there is no need to change services on a process server. The only exception is for process servers that are used for file events exclusively, there you do not need to specify a definition type, however, the PlatformAgentService has to be added manually.
Queues Tab
Field | Description |
---|---|
Queue | The queue name. |
Held | Is this queue closed? (Y or N) |
Execution Size | The number of concurrent chains in the queue. |
Inclusive | If set to true, the queue size includes waiting chains. |
Hold Level | Chains below this priority level do not start. |
Time Window | The time window during which the queue releases the chains. |
Time Zone | The time zone to use when the time window is used (and it has no time zone). |
Resources
- Resource - The resource the process server can provide.
Load Factors
Field | Description |
---|---|
Load Threshold | The maximum threshold of all load factor products combined; once this is reached, the process server goes to status Overloaded and accepts no more processes until the combined load factor products decrease below Load Threshold. |
Execution Size | The maximum number of concurrent processes that the process server will execute. |
Value | The value of the currently highlighted field in the below table |
Description | A description of the load factor |
Multiplier | A value by which the Monitor Value is multiplied before being compared to the Threshold and Load Threshold. |
Threshold | The threshold for the load factor; when this is reached, the process server goes to status Overloaded and accepts no more processes until the product decreases below Threshold. |
Monitor Value | The monitor value to be multiplied with the Multiplier |
Definition Types
- Definition Type - The type of workload that the process server can run.
